  • One glass with Coravin. It's the new regime. A glass, not a bottle.

Also, as part of the new regime, the tasting note will be done in WSET Level 3 format.

    Clear, medium intensity, ruby color,
Nose - medium intensity, primary notes of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, black cherry. Secondary, a touch of reduction, a touch of vanilla. No tertiary notes
Palate - dry, high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium + body, medium+ flavor intensity, primary notes on palate, medium+ finish, strawberry, cherry, baking spice.

I like this wine! Tannins are softening, still has good primary fruit, great acid backbone. Can drink or age it. Good stuff.

  • PnP. Nose of red fruit and red flowers with a light wood note. Palate of black cherry, blood orange, and cranberry with some minty notes, Note of potter’s clay leads the finish followed by a line of acidity and citrus, then tart rustic raspberry and lingering forest floor.

  • Solid serious pinot. I keep drinking them but they are built for the long haul. Fine somewhat prominent structure and tannin, but balanced red and blue fruit. Lightly saline/sea breeze notes on the nose. Lengthy finish, crystalline quality to the fruit. Has tons of upside. Consistently one of my favorites in the PG lineup.

  • My New York City friends were over and as usual there was a large amount of wine consumed. This bottle was opened as I need a cup of pinot noir to make the sauce for the appetizer course. As an aside my wife found this recipe in some edition of F&W and it is awesome. The nose is all red fruit, the palate is raspberry, cherry and hints of baking spices leading to a moderate finish. After I poured off my cup the rest of the bottle (and 7 more bottles) were consumed by my friends. Yes, everyone took and Uber.

  • Too young but seems like a special wine in the making. Vibrant red fruits with some blue fruit highlights. Structure is to the fore of the palate giving this a rather narrow focus and mouthfeel. Loam notes add complexity. Best to hold a few years.
