Very reduced on the nose, not surprising. Pretty open on the palate, chiseled stone, cold red berries, some spicy earth. Long. Probably needs 10 more years but still great.

Auction bottle, had low-ish expectations but I'm a big Bize fan. This was excellent. Very Vosne-y with a haunting nose of pressed flowers and faint spice. Relative to the age had lots of bright strawberry fruit hinted with licorice melting to a faint sous bois on the moderately long finish. A wow wine for me.

this was surprisingly good with great texture and definition. properly mineral with a delicate shape and attractive but not quite plush red fruit and faint spice. it did have some almost chalky, reductive notes especially on the nose that reminded me of a white burgundy, but the chassagne and ramonet on the label may be influencing that perception...
