still has aging potential. Aerate for a couple of hours. Enjoy with food, particularly beef. Great finish with complexity. One of the better years and real QPR! Can enjoy now or cellar for a few.

opened my last bottle last night, Lowered it to about 62 degrees and let it breathe for 45 minutes. It drank very well. I paired it with lamb shank and my partner had calfs liver. it has turned tawny in color but had great legs and power and best of all the complexity was still there. The play of tastes against the lamb shank and rosemary with a bit of fat played beautifully against the wine with the cedar, slightly smoky fruit and power l I regret it was my last bottle. I believe that based in this bottle it is slightly beyond the plateau but will certainly continue to be enjoyable.
I have the 1.5 liter bottles so would imagine its holding up better than the 750. It was and is a good value for a St Julian. I sort of forgot about it being tucked away on a lower shelf. I have owned them since release. Having just tasted one recently, I believe that it is at its peak or may have peaked earlier. Very light trace of tannins, and good fruit but the complexity not what I hoped for. Wish I drank them a few years ago to fully appreciate it at what may have been its peak. Still all and all highly enjoyable and will look to deplete over the coming holidays
