Morambro Creek 2002 Shiraz Padthaway - Actually got to try this over the weekend after its arrival on Friday.
First night - deep purple, but the nose and palate were not very revealing - bottle shock, youth, whatever - everything was closed up tight. Judgment deferred until tomorrow. Put the cork in and stuck it in the fridge.
Second night - Wow! Things have developed nicely, to say the least. Medium/full-bodied, big plum/dark berry/blackberry, plenty of wood with a some smoke/vanilla and a touch of funk. Tannins have grown overnight, and the palate has filled in large, with very good length. This will be a real crowd-pleaser. $15-20.

Bright red fruit on a pile of rocks. Delicious. Penetrating but not saturating.
