Opened this 2006 vintage wine in 2012 and it still had a long way to go before it was "ready". Very firm tannins. Definitely a blockbuster cab, like the cabs in the early days of Napa glory. Let this breathe about 30 minutes, and you are left with a rich wine loaded with flavors of cassis, cherries, and tart blackberries. I would suggest letting this sit for at least 3 more years.

Rich with firm tannins. Notes of bitter almond and black currant. Decant at least an hour to allow it to open up.

2005 Cliff Lede Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District

Subdued notes of oak with good acidity and mild tannins. Very refined with hints of dark dried cherries.
