cherry, raspberry, light cocoa. this wine does not exhibit the earthiness and barnyard style that i was seeking. however, it is a well structured burgundy. it is soft and silky on the palate with velvety tannins.
it changes quickly. at first when it was opened, it seemed like an entry lever, acidic californian pinot noir. i decanted it and now as it opens up, it is beginning to express a lot of personality. 45 min. in the fruit is beginning to shine. like i said: raspberry, cherry, thing red berries...on the end you get the "browns"....what i get is chocolate. as you taste it you get well rounded wine. great fruit on the front, mostly ripe. towards the end, the true pinot noir characterists are converyed and then you can tell its old world - burgandy....unfortunately i am not advanced enough to go to further in depth about the specific appellation.

Absolutely Delicious! Taste- honey, lemon, melon, medium acidity which was hidden by the residual sugar. i would classify this as an off dry wine, however it is dry relative to the grape variety. smell- sweet apple pie spice, lemon, honeydew melon, mango,
on the tasting it had a great weight on the mouth. the floral notes and the light pepper were really balanced with the fruit and literally bloomed all at once. unfortunately i had to quickly down it and couldn't analyze the finish but from what i had i knew it was going in the right direction.

Smell - strawberry, cherry, peppry, oak, and razz taste - light weight, medium tannin, peppery, syrah like finish that sat.
I thought this was a great tasting, easy drinking wine. The tannin were nice and light, which made easy to drink and pick apart. On the finish the syrah in the blend began to set in. This is a really nice wine though. I'm sure its a great value and will go great with dishes such as pork, chicken, lamb, quail - anything that is bogged down with a heavy rich sauce. anything that has a great smokiness of a grill will be an incredible paring. very enjoyable rhone style blend.
