Darker, heavier and more dense than expected from the variety, although a uncommon origin. Complex, dark fruited and sweet on the nose with plenty of dried berries, cherries and chocolate. Full-bodied, heavy and similar to the nose on the palate. Lots of raisins, chocolate, cherries, strawberry jam and licorice with a almost Amarone-like feel to it with its 15,5 % ABV. Long, jammy finish that stays quite a while.
Should perhaps have been consumed a year or so ago, it has definitely peaked although still very pleasant.

A very classic, style typical Barolo from a, for me, favorite producer for nicely priced wines. Elegant, licorice and dark fruit driven on the nose, although still a bit tied up. Medium-bodied, tart and fruity on the palate with typical dark cherries, herbs, licorice and chocolate. As on the nose, still a bit young and needs a few more years in the cellar before it will peak and open. Decent finish, but again, needs to open.

A golden, bright color. The nose is very fruity with cumquats, mango and citrus and a nice, inviting freshness. The palette is medium bodied and sweet with plenty of yellow and tropical fruit with some nice freshness from the high acidity. Not at all to sweet and sugary as one could expect from this type of botrytis. Sweet, long finish with citrus and mango coming over and over again.
Got a trophy in Decanter as best sticky under 20 Pounds.
