Opened and decanted. The wine was deep dark red to purple and the nose was typical. After an hour with dinner, it became less interesting. I was hoping for a great wine from a great producer and a great year, but no luck.

My last bottle. Unlike the previous bottle, this is drinking much better but there's no reason to let it sit around any longer because the cork broke apart!! The nose is pleasant and slightly floral, but the palate is much better. I get a palate of blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry, tar, and some elegant tannins to make this an exceptional Merlot. Drink now!!

Got a glass here now and the nose is full of mint and ceder. Needs more time to open, but the fruit is there. It should have more time to open so it can soften a bit. I get a palate of unsweetened cola, dark berries, and some tart and chalkiness in the finish. Maybe it could be laid down for a little longer or decanted for much longer. It's not a 'go to' wine for me from Bordeaux, but it's not bad, but not great.
