The 2004 APV R.O.V. was one of the best pinot noirs I enoyed this year. This 2005 is not up to the level of the 2004, but is clearly the 2005's little brother.

Drank better than the 95 Beringer Private Reserve that was also on the table. Decanted about 3 hours before drinking. Nice minty/menthol notes. Tannins significant but not distracting. Went well with my lamb and my wife's Kobe beef.
