Not bag for the price medium body and color. Lots of raspberry and blackberry on the nose a bit of heat as well. Really none of that Rhone funkiness. Light tight tannins pretty fruit forward with a spicy ending. I like it for a quick pour went well with some real good burgers smothered with aged Gouda and and a brebis. I would buy again at the price I paid

Okay decent not great. Rich ruby red classic magenta rim. Lingering legs. Nose needs a minute to let alcohol to burn off. After that red fruit strong woodsy scents and some mineral. Palate this his heavy on acidity not quit ripe fruit and cedar wrapped cigars. Balance is a bit off Opened up and improved through tasting. Paired with some nice Bree the Brie really countered the acid and let the fruit and secondary flavor come out. Probably be better in another two years or with a solid 2 hour decant. Was picking up nice sweet tobacco smoke.

2011 Bernard Magrez Cabernet Sauvignon

Somewhat surprised by the reviews, I thought this was one of the better cabs I have had this year. Double decanted and let sit for a bit. Nose was sweet tobacco like a Nat Sherman Hampton. Milk chocolate, vanilla blended with ripe blackberry and blueberry. Nose is not big and bold but pleasant fun to keep coming back too, plenty of secondary scents. Black pepper flowers eat. On the palate fruit forward and slightly sweet but not over the top fruit bomb, soft and velvety as you roll it around the mouth. Really interesting fun drink really enjoyed. Will get more.
