WOW, what a great wine, powerful, honey, mineral, lemon, beautiful texture. Tasted with grilled chicken marinated in lemon juice, garlic andoil. Delicious, the wine, the chicken worked beautifuly togther. must find more of this wonderful wine. A steal at $35.00 when I purchased it in 2007. If you have any of this wine, drink up, it is perfect righ now.

Okay, yes I know it's a Martinelli, why did I rate it at 89 you ask. There was no "wow" factor. Yes, it was good, however, I have tasted quite a few Martinelli's, this just was not up to par. It was enjoyable and it worked very well with the BBQ pork baby back ribs, but on it's own, I don't think it was worth the $85.00. Aditionally, I don't think it will get any better so pop and enjoy and forget what you paid for it. It was a full tasting wine, good nose, even palate, but just no ooommmppphhh. Also I have noticed that the Martinelli's are just too high in alcohol for me, this was 15.6%. My palate has been more interested in lower alcohol with more flavor, less heat, more fruit. As I said before, pop, pour, enjoy.

A delicious unique wine. Strong on the outset, a little thin in the middle and strong on the finish. Smooth nose, fruity and spicy, full bodied. Tasted with flank steak marinated in soy sauce, oil, salt and pepper, worked wonderfully. This was my first Etude wine, but I guarantee it won't be my last.
