10/5/2020 12:05:00 PM - I have not, yet. Was going to taste at VinItaly last year, but alas, cancelled I'll probably grab 6 or 12. Looking forward to seeing them at the cellar in the Spring. un caro saluto

6/10/2020 7:43:00 PM - No Mori, sigh. My apt is in Greve in Chianti, and during the time of the (quite severe) lock down/quarantine, driving the 1+ hour to get to Giacomo was not allowed. Plus, I wasn't willing to interact with others for their, and their family's safety (many have quite old parents, etc.). So, didn't get to see but 1 or 2 (wine) people between 9 Mar and the end of April. In CO now, not sure when I'll return. I've got a lot of writing to catch up on. cari saluti

3/16/2020 12:04:00 PM - ha! interesting question. I got here on 13 Feb. There' was Anteprima Toscana, then Benvenuto Brunello, then everything cancelled, and as of this morning, I am under house arrest in Chianti - I told them how much I travel, and they went totally blank. My house arrest is temporary, and they already gave me a personal shopper, so no worries. So, no Mori... yet!

2/1/2020 7:29:00 PM - Hello, I'm in CO until next Saturday; in NYC until my flight from JFK on 11/2. So, no, not yet, but I wrote about 7 hours ago to formalize my visit. I will let you know how it goes in a few weeks. Feel free to write me at vinefarmerimports@gmail.com Tim

1/17/2020 8:17:00 PM - I really appreciate your message, and I think your question is a great one; also a long, and complicated answer. So, when I see him, I'll ask him the very same, and I'll arrange a vertical of the past 4 or 5 vintages, as well. Again, excellent observation, and my short answer/guess is it may have more to do with the cheekiness of Sangiovese than anything else (I have several of his 2016s right now, none of them interest me after a recent one with dinner - they need time; I believe they'll come around, they'll morph). Loved the '14. I'll ping you after I've got some more concrete answers. saluti
