When I decanted it showed very pale - a rosy tawny edge but deeper in a glass( a vintage thumbnail cut shows it nicely) - and had a heavy deposit. Pleasant nose and firm taste - fair fruit, figgy moderate treacle on intial taste , then a bit spirity leading into good long lingering soft raisin end.
Guess not much around - I bought 8 y ago and feel well rewarded for the modest price then - so will look at some more single Quinta ports from the traditional houses.

English Bottled (Tanners of Shrewsbury 1972) Decanted - firm heavy deposit - bright claret colour - slight clean nose. Taste impresses - vibrant and interesting - full and a sort of mellow fruitcake- long and lingering pleasantly on the end.
Excellent and quite a joy after keeping for many years - and more to go ( lucky to have some). Knocks spots off Gould Campbell 83 enjoyed last week.

Unfiltered LBV's from top producers might have potential for bottle improvement - so have kept a few of this one in my cellar. And this one is a joy 13 years on. Decanted - firm medium deposit- good `claret colour', soft fruit on nose, sweet fruity mouthful with a nice grip and some length on the end. Would match a lighter Vintage. Glad I have 4 more! Super as an `aperitif' on a winter's lunchtime.
