This is a very good wine with everything working in its favor except for the mid palate. It's as if a dash of water was added, diluting the core of the wine. Yet, the fruit is still intense and lingers on the palate in a very well-balanced and integrated wine where oak and alcohol are in check and acidity lifts the intense fruit. **** med gold, med + intensity of primary: lemon zest, pear, yellow apple, white peach, white flower, match stick, crushed rock; secondary: yogurt, toasted wood; med + acidity, med alcohol, med + body, med + intensity echoing the nose with an oily texture and fatty weight on the palate, and a strong mineral underbelly. medium + finish.

reminiscent of a good Saint- Estephe - high acid, lighter body, and very well-integrated oak expressing cigar box, toasted wood, wrapped around red fruits of red cherry, dark raspberry, and then pencil and earthy notes of dried leaves. Long finish. A bit more taut than other MVs that I've had but very enjoyable.

great complexity and concentration with a long finish of lemon zest and white peach. Well-developed citrus, stone, and orchard fruit with floral of lemon blossom and a mineral backbone - river rock, match stick. Secondary notes of brioche and very well-integrated oak that is subtle. Overall, an excellent wine, great balance - though ripeness came slightly at the expense of acidity.
