We decanted this wine for two hours and then drank over the next 90 minutes. This is a dark and brooding wine that leans towards coffee, dark fruit, soil and earthy undertones. Despite that, it was very balanced with the oak being nicely integrated with fine tannins that made the wine approachable.I’ll be curious to see how this wine evolves over the next 5-10 years.

Classic Dunn. 13.3 abv. The primary sour cherry notes have resolved beautifully into secondary notes of dried flowers, sous bois and minerality. Detect a little blackberry as well. It is in a really good place and held its own against a ‘98 Latour.

Decanted for one hour. Lots of cherry cola on the nose with some sous bois. A creamy texture on the palate and tannins were present but nicely balanced. Nice acidity and 13.3% abv. I give it 93 now but it will improve over the next 3-5 years. Interested how this wind will evolve.
