Golden color. Honey, honeysuckle, melon, lemon tart, ripe pineapple on the nose. Lemon chess pie, salinity, touch of minerality with a hint of bitterness on the back palate. Good length and intensity. Medium to full bodied. Honestly a fantastic wine for the price.

Opened Feb. 17, 2024. Garnet. Baked dark fruit, spice, and something that reminds me of resin or wax on the nose. Cooked tart dark cherry and plum, nutmeg, graphite, cooked green bell pepper, hint of cigar box, soft chalky tannins, Medium to full body. It was pretty well balanced.

Decanted to reduce sediment then poured through the rabbit to filter out the bits of floating cork as I managed to break the cork as I was opening it. Deep ruby to garnet. Fairly intense dark fruit, vanilla, tomato leaf, a bit of graphite on the nose. On the palate moderate acidity and tannins, dark cooked fruit, vanilla, dried herbs, graphite, glycerin. Nicely balanced though complex. I almost wished I’d waited a couple more years for it’s 20th anniversary to open it!
