Too bad a lot more of the S Rhone doesn't make wine like this. Very impressive classy wine. Even my wife loved it and she even asked if we had more and was disappointed to hear it was a special splurge and its very expensive and our only one. I probably won't ever have another one. I can't even seem to find any to buy if I wanted to. The color of this wine is so amazing. It looks like a bright strawberry cherry juice. It has that classic Rayas house grenache style that you can even get in the lower CdR grenanche. It has some raspberry and herbal spicey pepper. Held together over two days just fine.

cork is perfect. no signs of bricking. a dark purple with cherry skin tones. small amount of fine sediment. Decanted in glass for 2 hours before. on point sangiovese nose. Funky earth. Taste profile matches the nose. the funky earth is like rhone Garrigue, but Tuscan version. Paired with 6 day old spaghetti and lots of aged Parmesan. Very tasty.

In a great spot now. Some bottles need time to open up and some not. I'm drinking the last couple this year. I should have waiting for all of them to reach this age instead of drinking any earlier This one was ready to go. Beautiful deep garnet color. Classic cab nose. And super delicious. Can be drunk solo or do it with some protein. With the bottle time smoothing it out I find it pairs really well with aged cheese.
