I forgot about this one and may have waited to long to drink it.
When I opened the bottle the first thing I noticed was the bright raspberry nose and I was optimistic that I may still be good. Initially it was tight and not show much fruit, but after letting a glass breath for an hour it opened up little and showed some of the raspberries flavors initially teased in the nose.
The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry and cranberry. It tastes like prune, mushroom, dust, tea, thyme, chocolate, clove, coffee, vanilla, raspberry and cranberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Not much of nose left except for hint of mocha. The tannins have completely mellowed leaving stewed plums and dried figs for the palate. I remember tasting this back in 2013 and thinking that it had a lot of eucalyptus, mint, and bell pepper in the finish. All of that has melted away with time leaving white pepper, espresso, and just a hint of bell pepper still remaining
