A very fine bottle. Though youthful, the aromas and flavors have developed beautifully. Great violet and tar on the nose. Medium bodied, cherry fruit with piney and floral notes on the palate. Long finish.

Popped the cork four hours before drinking. Deep garnet. Nose of dark fruit, leather, cedar, herb and vanilla. Strawberry and raspberry flavors on the palate with cedar, earth and leather. Tannins just al dente. Finishes on leather notes with smoke and a little licorice. Very enjoyable.

Decanted and re-bottled four hours before the tasting. Deep garnet. Nose was packed: blackberry, chocolate, cedar, and more dark fruit. The palate held firm, young tannins. Blackberry, cassis, cedar and a light herbal note accented with dark chocolate. Lengthy finish. Consensus was to wait another two to five years on this one.

4/1/2022 7:32:00 AM - Hi,
I’ve been looking through your cellar on Cellar Tracker and noticed you have some fantastic wines, including Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Ruchottes-Chambertin - have you considered joining Antica Terra’s Collective?
We offer hard-to-find wines to exclusive members in our waitlisted membership, curating rare bottles of perfect provenance, for sophisticated buyers, and the enrollment window is about to open to allow for a limited number of new members.
Here’s how it works; as a member, our founder and winemaker, Maggie Harrison, hand selects a bottle for you each month and twice a year you will receive twelve or twenty-four bottles delivered to your door with the option of receiving a selection of sparkling, white, rosé and red wines or a selection of exclusively red wines. A few treasures that were tucked into the founding members’ spring boxes include:
2011 Marguet Pere & Fils 'Sapience' Premier Cru, Extra-Brut, Champagne
2002 Nikolaihof Vinothek Riesling, Wachau
2015 Château de Beaucastel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, Cuvée Roussanne, Vieilles Vignes, Rhône
2018 Comte Armand, Clos des Epeneaux, Monopole, Pommard, Premier Cru
2019 Clos Erasmus Priorat
2010 Giuseppe Quintarelli, Rosso del Bepi, Veneto IGT
Members have direct access to Maggie, the ability to select additional rarities with each shipment, and an exclusive community with a shared quest for rare beauty. We extend exclusive invitations to potential members based on their collection and tastes, and I think you would be a great fit.
If this is of interest to you, shall we set up a time to discuss? Or happy for you to email me directly at daniel@anticaterra.com.
Best,
Daniel (Antica Terra)
