I've had several bottles of Cameron Hughes recently and was quite impressed. Those were a little higher price range ($15-$20). This one is definitely not as good. OK for the price, I suppose, but I won't buy again. A light wine tasting of strawberries and cherries, but with a funky, lower quality grenachey taste at the end (not a good funk). A bite on the aftertaste with some pepper and other harsh spices.

An amazing example of Côte-Rôtie from Santa Barbara. The viognier shines through on the nose with floral aromas and hints of spice, perhaps some cardamom and other light spices that I can't quite pinpoint. It tastes like dark berries, as is typical with this region, though not as powerful as other syrahs, e.g., the Zaca Mesa from the same year. This is drinking beautifully right now; Andrew Murray himself said that this should be opened soon. Give it some time in the decanter to truly appreciate the flavors.

A delicious light violet colored wine with hints of strawberry on the nose.
It tastes like berries mixed with vanilla. A silky light to medium body.
