Opened to use as a wine base for a beef short-rib sugo, but it's too good to use for that!
Impressions after being open for ~4 hrs... Dark, inky juice in the glass. Intense blackberry nose, borne out with the initial taste.
Chocolate next on the palatte. First bottle I've tried since purchase, so don't know the history of tannin development, but in this bottle, any tannins were muted and the ripe fruit shines through. My worry for the long-term possibilities for this bottling is the low acidity; it's sweet-fruit-forward with little underlying acidity.

Delicious, full-bodied pinot. Lusher than I remembered from earlier bottles, and richer than most Sonoma Coast bottling I've tasted.
Bright red fruit, raspberries on the nose. Very muted tannins. Drink now.

Delicious with oysters on the half shell tonight.
Lemon, apples and yeast on the palate, with a malic acid finish. Toasty, with an undertone of wet stone/slate.
