Certainly brings the funk! A bit out of my comfort zone on this one. Wild, gamey, meaty palate. nice texture with a heavy dose of acids. had with lemony roast chicken. it worked.

As always for me, the barrel program here is perfectly suited for the style I adore. It will take some time though.
At this early stage, though still allowed to breath, it is spice dominant and backwards. Fruit is buried on this one for sure, but with time unripe black cherry. Tannins are astringent and begging for food to tame them. Clear cut steak wine right now.
got short ribs? Pop it!! otherwise, hold. Limited previous vintage experience tells me this wine, from this producer, ages well.

Decanted 2 hours, consumed out of decanter for 3 hours solo.
Vibrant black cherry for me. Nose and palate match. Not tight at all. At start, temp at 60f. Last glass 70f. Temp certainly changes this wine...warmer, for me, was better. Once again, nice spice and barrel flavors. Not much new oak here. Loving it.
