Had the 2008 and the 2009 this weekend. The 2008 was surprisingly soft, developed and balanced. The 2009 was still tight. A fair bit of tannins, acid on the high side and secondary flavors mostly not coming through. We will continue to drink 2008 but give 2009 another couple of years of aging before we try again.

Nice acidity, medium body with soft mouth feel. Cherry with a subtle floral nose. Little tannin structure but still well balanced. Surprisingly long finish. At this age, the wine has become somewhat one dimensional with fewer secondary notes. Still has a lot to offer but drink now.
