Decanted for an hour after the first sip. Not really familiar with the Sagrantino but found the wine to be balanced, medium tannin, earthy tones and some tartness. Enjoyable for the purchase price.

First sip prior to decanting was bright, smooth, tart with medium acidity. Slight perfume with slight fruit forward. After decanting 45 minutes it opened up to some earthy finish, fungi, and softer tannis. A decent table wine with rich pasta, grilled meat or lasagna.

Tart Cherry/cranberry at first with strong alcohol, medium tannins and smooth finish; after an hour of decanting the 15% alcohol burns off a bit and you can sense the slate, tobacco and depth.
