It has been several months so wanted to try this again. Decanted through vinturi into decanter at 1:30PM and poured a small amount into a glass as well. Sampled every hour and found this really needed time. Tight and sharp with alcohol at first. Went through a licorice phase which i've seen before with this wine. At 3 hours I was getting worried although it showed some improvment. Finally consumed with T-bone steak at 8pm (6.5 hours of decanting) and really liked what we found. Tobacco, nice amount of dark fruit, medium-full body and a nice lasting finish without the strong alcohol. it's really a diferent wine but very enjoyable. This is good booze.
