Nose: Bruised golden apples. Palate: Juicey sweet golden & red Gala apples, rosehip tartness, spice, wonderful salinty & chalkiness to balance out fruit. A hint of apple pithe and must. Mousse is agressive, reminds me a bit of Francoise Bedel.
Performs way beyond price level. Great for those who (like me) enjoy 'grower Champagne'.

Truffles, black cherries, plums, tobacco, savory bacon note. Nice acidity. Be patient with this wine: decant and drink over several hours..needs time to open up. Despite being a ripe vintage, this Hyot seems to be more classical styled then the 2010 (at this stage anyay).
Could easily age another 5-10 years. A steal at the price and far better than so many $30-50 medicore Bordeaux out there. Buy extra and sock away in the cellar.

Wonderful yeasty lemon nose. Green apples, lemon, with hint of lime at first....followed through by a wonderful creamy almost brioche like note and depth. Let this open up in your glass..it moves from a lively green apple lightness to a more depth with brioch and an almost leesy quality (yet still fresh).
A fantastic bargain. I was too broke for nice brioch yet zippy champagne..and this was a fabelous substitute.
