My second bottle, the first one was tight and astringent, so I put this second bottle in room temperature for around a month to let it "age" a little quicker
My little experiment seemed to work XD. This was a lot more opened, nose of red fruit, fresh dates, a tad of liqourice, warm spices and earth. Although it is from the hot vintage, this is very well structured, polished, and elegant. Nothing overshadows but a very balanced repertoire of aromatics, mouthfeel, acid and tannins. After 3 hours, more integrated and round. Great juice!
Pop and poured, color was splendid and the condition of this bottle was great. A little on the lighter but was expected from the vintage. Also I much prefer this "classic" Burgundian vintage over the rich fruit bombs of 2015. Nose was beautiful and airy, red cherries, potpourri, a bit of dried autumn leaves, the gevrey earthiness and a hint of sandalwood made this very enjoyable. On the palate a little tight and a bit acidic, but opens up with time and a little air. Enjoyable today but will last another 5-10 years easy.

Not a sophisticated or deep wine, but a testament on how a great producer can still make something enjoyable in a difficult vintage. Fill is well into neck and color just getting a little mahogany on the rim. No signs of musty/over developed aromas this bottle was in top condition. Bottle breathed for 30 minutes and this was ready to go. Tannins are fully integrated, still fresh, a little hawthorn and tertiary notes, not long but elegant and straight forward. I enjoyed this more than I thought.

Very consistent to VINUM DEORUM's notes below.
