Color showing some bronzing on rim...On the nose lots of dried fruit... a bouquet of everything tertiary...dried black cherry, raspberry and plum w some tobaco earth dark bittersweet chocolate along with distinct cassis. Mouth is silky and showing gorgeous age with integrated mellowed tannins and beautiful fruit. A nice meditterenean herbal finish. Acidity still there and everything integrated maybe very slightly past its peak but certainly a beautiful merlot showing its plush characteristics but with age - merlot age! Very nice!

Nice appealing salmon color. Nose dominated with strawberry and watermelon along with white cherries and some nice rose and floral aromas. Mouth Medium body with wild strawberries and cherries, ruby red grapefruit with good acidity and a nice sweet & tart finish with lingering sour cherry and some nectarine. This wine balances tart and sweet nicely. A food friendly wine that can handle some spice. Very nice. 89-90

94% syrah 6%Viognier. Tasted several time within 24 hour period... best tasting/optimal experience I'm getting is 24 hour + later! Color showing good concentration with an elegant light purple hue. Beautiful, perfumed aromatic nose. Loads of crushed dark berries - BlackBerry and blueberry with spices, all types, Mediterranean herbs, bakers spice like nutmeg, floral aromas and very interestingly peach and mango notes from the Viognier. Very cool, the nectarine and peach aromas are pretty blunt. The more I come back to this nose I keep getting more notes. Very expressive. On the mouth first attack the BlackBerry & dark fruit with eucalyptus, dark chocolate and tobbaco, very dark restrained controlled fruit, with herbs, lingering mouth coating elegant tannins. Balanced good acidity. Very controlled balanced mouth. Finish is beautiful and lingering with elegance. A sweet finish of berries and some peach notes once again from the Viognier. Wow! A great example of a new world Cali Syrah from a prestigious vineyard with control and finesse. Drink till 2024. 92.
