Good but not his best pinot product. 2015 was a great year for Oregon pinot noir, so even blended wines like this (as opposed to single vineyard designated wines) taste great.

Pleasant but not as grassy as some sauv blancs. had it last night with a panfried moonfish in a tomato garlic butter sauce, over rice pilaf. it was a good wine paired with this hawaiin fish.

We own this vineyard which is at a relatively high elevation for the Willamette Valley and sell our wine grapes to Stangeland. This was a very good year for us, and the wine is aging beautifully. I enjoy the underlying flavor profile of this pinot noir, which is a bit leaner and acidic than wines grown further down the hill at Roserock Vineyard. At our elevation, we don't get as many heat units, and thus brix at harvest, but Stangeland's winemaker has mastered the art of getting the best out of our grapes nevertheless.
