Cork in excellent condition. Very dark colour. Great nose but a lot of alcohol and harsh green tannins on the palate. Lots of good stuff lurking though. Disappointing. Came back on third day and it was smooth as silk. Alcohol gone and the tannins were like butter. Amazing transformation! So glad I didn’t drink it all in the first day!!!!

Cork in excellent shape. Very dark colour. Loads of stuff in there but too much heat and a bit harsh greenish tannins. Disappointing. Came back for more on the third day and it was an amazing transformation. Silky, tons of fruit and the alcohol and harsh tannins were all but gone. Excellent. Better than the ‘94 Fonseca from last year.

Bought 6 from the Garagiste 4 yrs ago and just opened the first bottle. Cork was in good shape, a little funky but the wine wasn’t. Has a nice classic nose. Only slight bricking with moderately deep colour. Some fruit still showing and a nice smooth mouthfeel with soft tannins still there. Fully mature. Probably as good as it will be but if the rest are like this it will be a bargain...
