What a lovely, complex wine. Spicy baked pear and apple, honey, apricot and peach. Very dense but lifted by fresh acidity and fine minerality. Lingering spice notes went on for minutes. My husband had one glass and moved on to red, happily allowing me to polish off the rest.

Tasted this blind and at first thought it had brett, then realized it was smoke taint. Comes across as bandaids on the nose and greasy bacon fat in the midpalate. Third bad bottle of the case. Starting to look like expensive cooking wine.

Floral and herbal nose with a high-toned, sage-like greenish note. Dark brambly fruits predominate on palate, with med + acidity and tannins. Good richness through the midpalate, oak is well managed. Get the same herbal green character on the palate which is kind of refreshing but wonder where that will go with more age.
