Decent garnet color. Initial aroma of burning rubber and something funky. After a bit of air, the rubber diminished, and an aroma of aged beef takes over briefly. Then the rubber comes back. Taste includes the rubber, maybe a bit of fruit, and a lingering bitterness after you swallow. This might have been decent once, but time has not been kind.
Very nice. Aroma of sour cherry? Not unpleasant, just not the ripe fruit aroma of some others. Easy drinking with an incredibly long finish. Much better than I expected.

Hard to rate this one. I think you will enjoy this for what it is, or not care for it at all. Planned on a six day decant. Pour into my decanter, leaving behind a bit with the sediment. Funky aroma that's hard to describe. Weird fruit and maybe higher alcohols? Tasted the little bit poured into a glass with the sediment. My initial thought was "not bad." Next day it went back in the bottle while I cleaned the crud out of the decanter. Another tiny taste a bit different, and funky aroma going away. Left it alone until day six.
Pour a glass to sip slowly, over about an hour. Funk is gone. Aroma is still muted but is opening up and becoming very pleasant. The taste is hard to describe. Maybe plum or light cherry. The really strange thing is how much it changed in the glass. I've had wine that seemed much better with the last glass of the bottle, and I've generally thought much of that was changed perception due to alcohol. This is different. Incredibly complexity that is as fantastic to taste as it is difficult to describe. By the last sip I was loving it.
I'll be sharing the rest with friends in the next few days. Right now it's back in bottle for a few days.
