This might be the first 95 I've posted - really a stunner of a pinot, the best of all the Oregon we've brought home in last 1.5 yrs - delicate and structured, refined blackberry with touch of strawberry of all things, but a finish that just kept going long after the sip. Savored every second of it. Bottle continued to improve as we spent 2 hours slowly sipping our way through it. Wish that I had a case of tucked away but no such luck!

Agree with other notes around the range of fruit and touch of funk, and definitely a bit of expanded complexity from the blend. Going to let the 2nd bottle sit for a year or two and see if some of the rough edges come off, but even if it stays the same, good value and tasty with a heavy cheese and charcuterie plate.

3/20/2024 8:14:00 PM - @KimandScott. Some of my Sonoma County favorites are: Hirsch (they have a tasting room now), Rochioli, Rivers-Marie, Dehlinger, and Williams-Selyem. There are many other excellent ones, but these are a few of my favorites. If you go, please update me on your favorites, as we are tentatively planning to visit the Sonoma area next year. Enjoy!
3/13/2024 7:29:00 AM - KimandScott, glad to hear you're enjoying the Willamette Valley! We started going there about a decade ago, and have now been there close to 20 times, and we keep going back. The Pinots and Chardonnays continue to get better and better (unfortunately, also more expensive too). If you're feeling adventurous, checkout the Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley AVAs and/or the Cental California coast and Santa Barbara AVA. All produce excellent Pinots, Chardonnays and other varieties as well. Cheers.

Really a unique, fun bottle -- classic Eyrie experiment from the library -- wish we'd had 2 bottles while it was available!
