51% Kékfrankos, 20% Merlot, 13% Cabernet franc, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Kadarka, 4% Syrah. 15 months of ageing 85% in second and third filled, and 15% new 500l. Hungarian and French oak barrels.
Very pale garnet fading to an even paler garnet, brown reflexes(probably due to its age) viscosity is a medium to medium+. No gas or sediment.
A lot of fruits on the nose. Ripe or ripening cherries, black cherries, blackberries, some plum and blueberry. Some amount of cedar, graphite, black pepper and smoke is coming, lovely baking spices, vanilla, hint of dark chocolate and coffee. Tiny amount of wet leaves, forest floor. (Probably due to its age)
The wine is dry, Med body, med to med+ acidity, med alcohol, tannins are med-, very silky after 8years. The palate confirms the aromas picked up on the nose but the fruits are less ripe. The sip is mostly fruity, secondary and tertiary notes are not very pronounced on the palate. (Altough you can definitely taste the oakiness.)
Complexity is a good med to med+, length is a med+, overall a nice experience. This is a very teachable moment for me: i disliked the wine when i had the first sip, but i focused on it for a couple minutes and now i really enjoy it.

You can definitely feel and taste the long aging on the lees. Brioche dominated both on the nose and on the palate. The length is a med to med+. I liked this cava. (especially for its price)

Very yeasty, brutally refreshing, overall very nice, long and surprisingly complex Cava. One of the best cavas i have ever tried.
