Everything you expect from a mid 90's Barossa Shiraz. High alcohol (16.5%) massive fruit (and you can actually taste the apricots - think semi dried). Not a wine to be drunk alone, it needs a BBQ. In my case smoked pork spare ribs with sweet and spicy bbq sauce. Perhaps a cheese platter with some big flavours to match
This has years to run, no rush here at least another 3 years

Visually the wine is looking great in the glass Nose is nice and savoury with dark berries evident Palate has good acid and mouth feel. Fruit is pleasingly there after 7 years in bottle. Persistence is good especially for an Australian Pinot. Drink over the next 2-3 years with confidence.

Looks youger than its age at 10 years with a deep and vibrant colour all the way to the edge of the glass. Nose displays good fruit and earthiness/savouriness Palate shows youth but integration of fruit with tannin and acid. Good mouth feel and whilst not the longest persistence still solid. Still has years to go
