Showing really well. Seems to be about mid-life...well matured, but still some tannins working. Good color edge to edge - somewhat bricked on the edges, but good bright firm color. Not inky, just nicely red.
Nose started out austere dry dust then evolved through dry tobacco, slightly green pepper (vegetal), baking spices, and lastly a bit of bright lemon zest. A very nice ride through a leisurely dinner.
Taste is pretty much old school claret - likes/needs food, full in the mouth, little fruit, lots of dark earth, and lasts a good while on the finish, tending toward cinnamon and other baking spices.

Bordeaux in a Burgundy bottle. Don't let that throw you off. Really pure clean fruit - blueberry and raspberry - on the nose. Biodynamic growing gives very distinct nose and flavors to this wine - it's really noticeable. Popped and poured, but might give the next one a decant since it had a reasonable amount of sediment for a young wine. Really excellent for the price. Good QPR.

Decanted 2 hours - would recommend that as a minimum. Wine really kicked in at about the 3 hour mark. Young, bright, approachable at this age. Earth and blueberries on the nose, bright crisp acids on the mouthfeel. Paired well with a chicken dish, but probably will put the next bottle with a veal bolognese or the like.
