A good bottle of wine, pretty much like my last experience. Generally, the 2018 vintage has not been a favorite of mine with a few exceptions but this Peterson was enjoyable. Tasting notes are much like my previous notes, good stuff.
Was a stellar night of wines at the HBowl... drank this next to the '12 Larkmead, and both were just phenomenal wines, different but both great in their own ways.
The 18 Peterson was probably my second favorite of that years Myriads, just next to Mikes Elysian, which is just in its own category... but this Peterson needs some serious time!!!
Pnp and this was so tight, with lots and lots of tannins just coating the mouth, such great structure on this wine.. though at the moment a little disjointed at the opening. We didnt have time, nor did it last long in bottle because even with the mouth puckering punch... this was a delight and only has much better things coming its way ... so if your curious give it a decent decant... but think this one easily will get better in bottle, needs a least a few years min to totally come into its own....
Only regret.. is that I really did love it then.. and now kick myself for not buying a lot more!!! Just wish he was still making it..

Two and a half hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Plum, blackberry, patchouli, toffee, jasmine, and poppyseed. Smooth, dry palate, with good center of the tongue acidity. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the medium long finish.
This is good, but also a bit sharp and hollow (in some aspects). Too “decadent and perfumed” for my wife. For me, I’d call it slightly manufactured/manipulated. With that said, it’s not Caymus (and I enjoyed drinking it), but I’m unlikely to buy more.

An ok wine at the moment. Dark and mono-tasting . ( if that is even a thing ) Just not much going on.

Smooth, bold, flavorful, an excellent Napa Cab. Had this as a pop and pour, and while it might improve with a decant, I loved it just as is.
