Burgundy lunch at San Shu Gong: Drinking so youthfully that this could have been easily mistaken for a 2015. The wine had a new-world feel to it, some even said it could pass off as a Syrah. Sappy red fruit, more muscular tannins for a Chambolle compared to the Bertheau before, still needs more time to round out the edges but very good potential.

Chambolle Northside 1er (Zoom / Chicago): Spice and stem-filled aromas give this real personality. Tasty whole cluster accented black cherry fruit is nicely balanced and fresh. Elegant for a 2009 with a refined finish. Better than the Jadot 09 Fuées side-by-side.

Chambolle-Musigny "Northside" 1er Cru Tasting (Chicagoland IL): Clearly ripe with a combination of black and red cherry, yet easily balanced and very elegant for a 2009. Starts lush, but the middle weight carried this through to a bright finish. Very good now, with further possible upside. My fav of the flight, but others preferred Jadot 2010 Baudes. I feel naughty enjoying this wine so much.

Raspberry, iron, blood, meat, soy. So good. Totally different than the Charmes but just as good.
