So good, assuming you don’t get a flawed bottle this should last a decade or two but after a quick decant this is impeccable and in a style that is so hard to find. You can shop for reduction but this has some of the amazing extra elements that are hard to define. I like the new wines post 2017 for different reasons but the old BBV wines I could drink every night.

Bernard Boisson-Vadot Les Grands Charrons 16. Wow! Denne minner om 2011. Fantastisk nese - bøttevis med knust stein, florale toner, popcorn og krydder. Lys i frukten. Elektrisk i anslaget. Fruktkvalitet på øverste hylle med herlig spenst og dybde. Ren, fresh og balansert. Beholder kraften fra start til slutt. Fabelaktig finish med påfuglhale-bredde. Intens mineralitet. En råtass. 95p

Beautiful bouquet with white and yellow fruits and beautiful oak. Same on the palate, full bodied and very luxurious with beautiful acidity and a great length.

Served in two glasses. Grassl Mineralité and Liberté. Liberté: Initially a hint of struck matchstick, then meursault butter, toast sesame seeds, citrus fruit, pineapple, a hint of white smoke. The palate is wonderful! Lots of both citrus fruit and some more exotic fruit, some fattness, really crisp acidity and mineral notes. Persistent finish. Mineralité: in this glass the wine is less 'articulated' and a little less expressive, both aromatically and on the palate. The palate is softer, with a little more sweetness and the fatness is more present. It is interesting, that the acidity feels more present in the Liberté glass. I definitely preferred the Liberté glass for this wine. 93 in the liberté and 91-92 in the mineralité ;) After some disappointing experiences with some of the Boisson wines in the 16 vintage, this wine really delivered!

Flint, lemon, butter on the nose. Palate with wonderful minerality-acidity balance, complex and elegant.
