Community Tasting Notes (4) Avg Score: 91 points

  • Deep ruby, purple in colour, fully opaque, with slight bricking on the rim. Ample amount of legs.

On the nose, it is quite jammy with noticeable but not overpowering oak. Blueberries, cassis, some greenness and herbal notes, a bit of vanilla, wet earth, some peppercorns, and hint of espresso and cocoa. I think I would've guessed this to be from Chile if this were to be tasted blind.

Earthy and leathery on the palate with somewhat grippy tannins - Wet earth, dark chocolate, espresso, with the black and blue fruits hiding in the background. This differs a lot from the nose that is a lot more fruit forward, with the palate showing more tertiary notes instead. Medium plus acidity with a decently long, leathery, slightly spicy finish.

This is quite lovely and delicious.

  • Clear deep ruby/purple; clean medium plus nose of red currant, plum jam, hint of green pepper, cocoa and florality; dry; high acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with cocoa dominating; medium plus to long finish; drink now or in 10 years; fantastic wine - juicy without being a fruit bomb

  • Pretty standard Cabernet Sauvignon, with usual dark fruit notes. Lacking complexity, had higher hopes especially after tasting their excellent 2017 Syrah

  • 91+ Young and angular but showing excellent potential. Deep ruby in the glass.

Nose is powerful but not harmonious. Green bell pepper, juicy fruit notes of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, leather and black pepper.

Tannins are firm but fine. Mouthwatering acidity. Slightly hot.

Flavours are rich and jammy with blackberry, plum and blackberry, spicy black pepper, tobacco and espresso.

    Long, fruit-dominant finish.

    Drink 2023-2035.
