Solid wine. Friends brought a magnum for Memorial Day. I’m not a huge fan of CA Zin but this had a nice aged-fruit anchor too it. Almost tasted like a CdP to me. Not too much alcohol or acid. Certainly punched it’s weight.

Dinner @ Home (Fremont, CA): Black fruit in combination with pomegranate; palate is high alcohol, medium acid, still nice fruit throughout. A very nice turley, similar to my last note. 90

Opened with linguine and meatballs. Spicey, heat laden octane with some humid plums and prunes. A little tartness on the finish, with braised red fruits and stewed blacks. Will update more.

Overstayed its welcome in the bottle. Cloudy some fermentation. Great nose, but lacking sweetness for me. Bought @ k&l ~ $45
