decanted for 45 minutes then poured....nice nose from the start, which did fade over the coarse of a few hours....good balance, lingering finish. I get the sense this is just entering its window

Poivré et sur les fruits noirs. Pas mal intense mais a paru plus équilibré que le Powerline de K Vintners. Long et charnu en finale. Bien mais pas trop souvent!

PnP. Meaty nose with smoky dark plum, pencil eraser, and notes of salami. Powerful wave of peppery, dark red fruits with an astringent streak, tart cherry notes, lots of damp earth, iron, and salty acidity. Chunky tannins, chicory, ripe plum fruit, more peppery notes, and an oak finale that lingers with vanilla. This needs food and a decant and I might have given a higher score. John Duval may be involved but this is a Washington Syrah without the ripe fruit component you'd find in his Australia wines.
