  Pale gold colour. Small and lively bubbles. Medium and developing nose with ripe red apples, ripe lemon, brioche, toast, biscuit, charred wood and wet stone. Medium (+) taste of ripe red apples, ripe lemon, brioche, toast, biscuit, charred wood and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Blanc de Noirs Champagne. Drink now or over the next ten years. Goes well as an aperitif, or with cured meat.

  The Canard-Duchêne was pale gold and lovely. The nose has a little delicious funk to it – a little melon, a little apple, and a bit of salty, briny cheese. The apple and salinity carry over to the palate, along with a hint of almond and vanilla. A nice clean finish.

  Lunch at Meii Sushi with Davyd and T+C. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Tasted blind.
  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, gold colour. Legs. Bubbles.
  Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of golden apples, toast, brioche, autolytic yeast. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, low alcohol (12%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of toast, brioche, golden apples, yellow pears. Medium+ finish.
  Good quality. Fairly simple. Nothing distinctive.
