Nice red fruit with the expected acidity. More wood than expected, but integrating with air. Spices like juniper and laurel coming through. Bigger and denser than you'd expect. A very good Barbera with some sophistication and a certain velvety bliss-point. Not good with a tomato- based vegetable sauce. Drink or hold. Very good QPR.

Popped and poured with penne bolognese. Aroma is earthy and red fruits. Taste is consistent, and not really what I had expected. Tasted more like a Rosso di Montalcino than other Barberas I have had.
