Tasted blind. Clear, bright, pale straw with a green hue. The nose is clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of ripe lemon, sweet herbs, unripe tropical fruit, barely ripe stone fruit, wet stone. The nose is youthful, with no perceptible oak. The palate is dry, with medium (+) to high acid, medium alcohol (13%). Medium body, medium (+) flavor intensity and medium (+) length. The finish reveals a slight salty note and phenolic bitterness. This has a classic Old World, cool climate profile. It is fairly aromatic un-oaked, with no malolactic, which narrows things down. The bitterness is a key marker, which further narrows things down. Missing are the pepper and vegetal notes of a Gruner Veltliner, the coppery hue and leesy aromas of a Pinot Grigio or the richness and heft of a Viognier. Overall, very good quality and QPR. Drink now, not intended for aging.

A: Pale Lemon Green N: Stonefruit (apricot), grapefruit, lemon zest, wet stone, yeast and salted lemon P: Dry, high acid, phenolic bitterness, medium alcohol (13%), medium (+) intensity, medium (+) length. Medium body. C: BLIC? Very good quality and drink now.
GUESSES: Old World due to tart mineral dominance Cool Climate due to acid and green tint Albarino due to salted lemon meets grapefruit meets nectarine flavors Final guess Albarino, val de salnes, Rias Baixas. 2016.
MISTAKES: Unfortunate that i got the year wrong. i just don't have any verticals for the region. Must put one together.
