It was nice, just not great. Some lemon, some brioche, some yeast, some creaminess. I expected more from a bottle with a Grand Cru pedigree. Let's see what some cellar time can do for it.

Beautifully fruity and pure nose. This is young and smells like it. This isn't about nuts and yeast, but apples and pears with just a hint of honey. This is quite good, but not great. Excellent value. May develop more complexity with age. 90-91

Davyd's Birthday celebration at ES BK. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, gold colour. Thin legs. Fine perlage. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of brioche, bruised apples, golden apples, yellow pears, cream. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of rich Meyer lemon, golden apples, yellow pear, butter cream, bits of Oyster shell. Long finish. Very good quality. Rounded, real pleasant and nice drinking. Perhaps only gripe is lacking raciness and nervosity. I was guessing a Pinot-Chard blend actually. Turns out to be 100% Chardonnay. Produced by a Champagne coop located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the heart of Côte des Blancs.

Excellent champagne with great balance. Beautiful fruit, strong mousse, nice acid, some nice earthiness. Delicious

Big, rich autolytic nose of brioche. Also shows minerality. Lush across palette - shows a little age. Very lactic finish. Nicely balanced.
