Bottle decanted for 12 hours. App: pale ruby. Pinot Noir like beautiful colour. Nose: medium plus flavour intensity; aromas of extremely perfumed fresh red roses with splashes of water drops on the petal, juicy red cherries, cinnamon, cedar, Christmas pudding, forest after rain, refreshing woody notes, raspberry, mouth watery juiciness, along with the time it presents tobacco and some prosciutto notes. It’s developing. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium plus tannins extremely smooth and silky, high alcohol, medium plus body, pronounced flavour intensity, very very long finish that lasts for minutes. Outstanding wine! Impeccable balance! A masterpiece that can be enjoyed even at its youth (with properly decanting). Intense fresh red fruits and sweet spice characters that is so seducing and keeping sending you an invitation to drink more. The liquid just slides through the throat and doesn’t feel any heaviness or alcohol. You don’t feel the tannins and it’s just so smooth. The evolvement of the aromas along the time is really charming and intriguing. The finish is so long that you can still taste the flavour after several minutes. An Amarone that is unlike any other Amarone I had before. I know it’s hard to associate “elegance” with a 16.5% abv wine, but this is exactly the word popping up in my head once the liquid hits my palate. One of its kind experiences! Would be wonderful to try old vintage if I can have a grasp of it.

Tasting Visit to Giuseppe Quintarelli; 11/18/2022-11/19/2022 (Negrar): Tasted at the winery with Francesco - 4th in the lineup. 2015 was a hot & sunny year - resulting wine in 16.5% abv. The nose here is more intense and warmer than the '14 Rosso del Beppe. Much fuller on the palate with dark fruits, spice and the unmistakable raisin notes.

Drank at Felix. This was great but a bit young, so much complexity, drink now with some air but great in 5-10 years
