On day 2, simply corked half a bottle. Very nice. All fully resolved, but still minimal acid and good fruit to make for a very pleasant wine to accompany easter brunch leftovers. Substantial expression of local variety and very drinkable now. Obviously needs long slo ox or 3 hr decant as it wasn't as good yesterday.

Browning at the rim; a dark garnet color, with some bricking characteristics. This wine seemed a little smoother in the mouth about three years ago, when I last tasted it. It has a slight acidic sting on the tongue now. But, it’s still an elegant wine. I get aromas of cherry, some raspberry, earth, tobacco, leather, herbs, mild and nicely integrated oak and a touch of mint on top. Similar flavors, except the mint is absent. Good acid and structure. A medium to long finish. A good food wine. Pairs very well with grilled pork chops, with Cajun dust sprinklings. The wine has a few years left. 24 HOURS LATER: after vacu-vin, still drinking quite nice; the the fruit has pretty good concentration and I feel confident in the wine's aging potential.

Color showing a little bricking, brown edge. Subtle nose with floral notes, herbs. Still has good acid and some structure. More cherry than anything. Nice little bottle. Should have opened sooner than the 20 minutes prior to dinner.

Like it a lot now. Very nice nose - very barolo-like overall. I think my last bottle, but it seems to stay on its peak a bit longer.
