Simply blown away. Definitely the wine of my trip to Napa/Sonoma and very likely the wine of my stay in the US. Amazing. However, at the end of its peak IMO so open up soon.

Popped and poured. This held up admirably over thirteen years. Aromas of apples, lemons, almonds and a little smoke come through. The wine is medium golden, medium to full bodied, well integrated and elegant. There is wonderful complexity showing here as well as layers of flavor roll over the palate into a long finish. Excellent.

My last bottle of this. After really not loving the first two, I finally had one I kinda liked. Honeydew and muscadine notes with a little oak. Was outshone though by a cult Michael Burke Chard of similar age.
Saved one glass and was actually better on day two. Lost a bit of the sappiness and some secondary moved forward.
