Sunday Dim Sum with Friends (Minghin, Naperville): From memory/no formal note. Courtesy of M&J. Flat out gorgeous. Stone fruit, mineral and honeysuckle aromas. Rich and unctuous, yet quite lively at the smae time, with flavors of stone fruit and mineral that linger on the finish. I could smell this wine all day. Paired exceptionally well with just about everything on the table. Fully mature and should hold at this level for a couple of year, if not longer, but why wait? 94-95 pts.

Sadly but happily another fine Alsace wine in the discard bin at Sam's; not the greatest bargain but a very acceptable sub-$10 tag for some of the finest wine in the world. Pale yellow-green color, nose is slightly musty and petrol, definite signs of age on the palate, striking minerality.

Aromatic and layered, delicious ripe fruit, earth, topnotes of flowers and herbs; good concentration and weight, dry but well-rounded, flavoursome and fleshy, slightly low acidity; good length.
